TENNESSEE VALLEY-The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for parts of the Valley that will be bring freezing rain and some ice accumulations.
This advisory is in effect from 12:00PM Thursday, January 18 until Friday, January 19 at 6:00AM for the following counties:
Lauderdale-Colbert-Franklin AL-Lawrence-Limestone-Madison-Morgan- Jackson-Moore-Lincoln-Franklin TN-
Including the cities of Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Russellville, Red Bay, Moulton, Town Creek, Athens, Huntsville, Decatur, Scottsboro, Lynchburg, Fayetteville,
Winchester, Sewanee, Decherd, Estill Springs, and Cowan
Continued hazardous travel due to lingering snow/ice accumulations on roads.
Travel is strongly discouraged. Have an emergency kit!
