TENNESSEE VALLEY-Winter Weather Advisory has been expanded for all of northern Alabama and southern middle Tennessee thru 9 AM Tuesday morning. Freezing drizzle and wet roads freezing will make roads hazardous. Travel is strongly discouraged.
“Black Ice” is the most significant hazard anticipated through out the night into tomorrow morning. Elevated areas and overpasses will be most prone to this hazard, please avoid them or use extreme caution.
If travel is not necessary, please refrain from driving this evening. Conditions may become very hazardous overnight.
A mostly cloudy and cold day is in store for the area with temperatures only topping out in the lower to mid 30s in north Alabama and around 30 degrees in southern middle Tennessee. Watch out for black ice on your morning commute.
