It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Winnie Osborn, who departed this life on October 14, 2023, in Corinth, Mississippi. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Born on December 6, 1935, Winnie Osborn was the cherished daughter of the late Carl and Zula Baker Gresham. On March 2, 1952, she entered into holy matrimony with William Osborn, whom she loved dearly. Their journey together was one filled with love and devotion until Mr. Osborn’s passing on August 15, 2016.
An exemplar of faith and resilience, Winnie Osborn found solace in her unwavering commitment to Antioch Church Of Christ in Ramer, TN. She derived great joy from her involvement in the church community and drew strength from her deep spiritual connections.
Winnie Osborn had a diverse range of interests that brought beauty and fulfillment to her life. A passionate reader, an avid gardener – her flower and vegetable garden served as a sanctuary where she nurtured nature’s creations and found tranquility amidst its vibrant colors and bounty.
Creativity flowed through her fingers as she expertly crocheted. She took immense pleasure in preparing delicious meals for both her family and her beloved church community. With tenderness and dedication, she cared for her grandchildren and offered them unwavering support as they navigated life’s challenges.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Pippenger and husband Steven, Ann Maxedon and husband Jim; four grandchildren, Todd Pippenger and wife Darlene, Laura Settlemires and husband Harold, Wendy Smith and husband David, Shiloh Butler and husband Blake; six great grandchildren, Randall Pippenger, Lucas Pippenger, Kason Butler, Connor Settlemires, Bell Settlemires, Shelby Smith; four great great grandchildren, Lainey, Kenzly, Lydia, and Avery Pippenger; a sister, Sue Hockaday; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Osborn was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Jessica Smith; a brother, G.B. Gresham; a sister, Effie Richardson.
