Funeral service for Malcoln Howard “Pete” Hone, age 61, of Trinity, will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Delashaw officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Sivley Cemetery. Mr. Hone, who died Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born July 30, 1962, in Tennessee to Howard Cleo Hone and Vivian Sue Lewter Hone. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Molly Elizabeth Hone; parents; brother, Gary Wayne Hone; and three sisters, Lynda Sue Moore, Cathy Lynn Morell, and Betty Jane Lackey. Pete thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially grandchildren. His leisure time was spent hunting and fishing. He is survived by his spouse, Rebecca Ann Britton; son, William Bryan Johnson; two daughters, Rebecca Nicole Johnson and Meagan Renee Hone; two brothers, Jimmy Dale Hone and Bobby Joe Hone; one sister, Wanda Darlene Dollar (Harry); four grandchildren, Bradley Stewart (Kesha), Zac Johnson, Macy Johnson, and Daniel Jenkins; and two great-grandchildren, Marlee Stewart and Willow Stewart. Pallbearers will be B. J. Hone, Mike Van Hoozer, Jimmy Hill, Clyde Hill, Jerry Hill, and Frankie Cagle.
