Windell Allen Campbell

Age 81 of Cottontown passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 in Lascassas, TN at his daughter’s home. He was born January 14, 1942 in East Chicago, IN to Orville Campbell and Johnnie Ruth Peterson. He worked as a flooring installer until his retirement. Mr. Campbell had loved country, bluegrass and gospel music since he was a young boy. He enjoyed playing the banjo and was talented to play just about any stringed instrument. He also loved classic cars. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Campbell; sisters, Betty Sweeten and Virginia Watts. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Campbell, Cottontown, TN; son, Jeff (Debbie) Campbell, Nashville, TN; daughters, Wendy (Chris) Fults, Lascassas, TN, Amanda ((Mark) Hlad, Gallatin, TN. Angie Burns, Pleasant View, TN and Teresa Wiser, Leoma, TN; brother, Roger (Debbie) Campbell, Smyrna, TN; special brother-in-law, Bobby Dunnagan, Cottontown, TN; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 2pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Gerald Prior officiating. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family is planned for Monday, March 20, 2023 4-8pm and Tuesday, March 21, 2023 10am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
