Wilson Andrew Hix passed from this life to another on October 27, 2016 at the age of 82.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 29, 2016 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Reverend Dan Bruce and Reverend Aaron Kennedy officiating. Interment following at Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service
He was born in Walker County, Georgia on February 15, 1934 and grew up working hard on the farm. He served in the army then returned home to work in the finance business until retirement. He loved fishing and working in the yard and garden.
He leaves his wife Janice Coulter Hix, daughters, Marlene Hix and Lisa (Blake) Brown, grandchildren Freeman and Bailey Brown, brothers Bob Hix, Waymon (Nancy) Hix, Farris (Trisha) Hix, sisters Nancy (Roy) Echols, Betty (Bob) Bomar and Linda (Joel) Hegwood, brother-in-law Willie (Virginia) Coulter, sisters-in-law Mary Ann (Donnie) Raines, Karen (Gary) Morgan, Joyce Coulter and Barbara Coulter along with many nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by parents Woodrow and Sarah Hix, parents-in-law Willie and Cleo Coulter, brothers-in-law James and Johnny Coulter, sister-in-law Betty Hix, and nephews Barry Hix and Ricky Coulter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 1627 N. Highland Ave., Jackson, TN 38305.
