Wilma Ruth King Rinks was born September 25, 1934 in Selmer, TN the daughter of the late L.D. and Frankie King.
She was united in marriage to Elmer Rinks Jr. on December 24, 1954. Mr. Rinks preceded her in death on February 25, 2007. In 1956, they moved to Memphis where she worked as a seamstress and Mr. Rinks worked for Memphis Fire Department. They moved back to Stantonville in 1987. She loved her rose and vegetable gardens.
Mrs. Rinks departed this life on February 18, 2023 in Stantonville, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 4 Months, 24 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Jill Diane (Rinks) Powell of Stantonville, TN, Judy Carmen (Rinks) Noe of Stantonville, TN; two sons, Elmer (Butch) Rinks III and wife Donna of Olive Branch, MS, William (Bill) Rinks of Stantonville, TN; four grandchildren, James Scott Powell of Charleston, SC, John Michael Powell and wife Jennifer of San Diego, CA, Patrick Noe of Columbia, TN, Kristy L. Rinks of Olive Branch, MS; two great grandchildren, Ava and Johah Powell both of San Diego, CA.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Rinks was preceded in death by
two sisters, Verneal Miller, Ruby DeSio; two brothers, Marshall D. King, James R. King; a son-in-law, Harold Noe.
