Wilma Leneva Lackey, 93, of Moulton, Alabama passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Charles Williams and Scott Jones officiating. Burial will be at Cheatham Cemetery.
Born on October 1, 1930, to Gaynom and Bertie Aldridge McLemore, Wilma was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved her flowers, but most importantly her family.
Survivors include her children Douglas Lackey, Barbara Dutton, Frog Lackey, Wanda (Clifford) Dutton, Eddie (Donna) Lackey, Rickey Lackey, Frankie (Teresa) Lackey, and Gina (Scottie) Terry; grandchildren, Donna (Jeff) Parker, Kenny (Lynn) Dutton, Dana (Tracy) Latham, Brandi (Dennis) Cantrell, Cindy (Barry) Jackson, Cassandra (Chris) Moore, Candi (Brandon) Wates, Tina (Scott) Jones, Tana (Heath) Sawyer, Christopher (Ashley) Lackey, Lizz (Adam) Waple, Dustie (Callie) Terry, Casey Smith, and Amanda Austin Lacy; nineteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Wilma was preceded in death by her spouse, Robert Lackey; parents, Gaynom and Bertie McLemore; four brothers, Chalmus McLemore, Kenneth McLemore, Ray McLemore, and Charles McLemore; three sisters, Doris Kelsoe, Grace Gillespie, and Nelda Gillespie; one granddaughter, Jennifer Austin.
Pallbearers will be Carson Jones, Kenny Dutton, Christopher Lackey, Nicholas Jackson, Dylan Sawyer, and Tyler Parker.
Honorary Pallbearers are Gerald Parker, Terence Lackey, Ricky Alexander, Doyle McLemore, and Gayno Gillespie.
The family extends special thanks to Dr. Chad McElroy, nurse Abby Marquis, Nurse Practitioner, Jamie Ghrigsby, and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice.
