Wilma Jean Hill Zorn

Funeral services for Wilma Jean Hill Zorn, age 93 of Lineville, will be on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Lineville Baptist Church at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Lonnie Atwood and Rev. Jerry Colquett officiating. Burial will follow at Lineville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Zorn was born in Cullman, then moved to Bremen Georgia after Second Grade and graduated from Bremen High School. She worked at the Commercial and Exchange bank in Breman and Macon, Georgia. She married her husband Jack in 1951 and they moved to Lineville, Alabama. Mrs. Wilma worked at Higgins Slacks with her husband for several years and then became the school secretary at Lineville High School. She was the co-owner of Man’s World and Woman’s World with her husband until 1980. Mrs. Wilma loved being on the Lake, spending time and traveling with her husband, and always had a smile on her face. Mrs. Zorn sang in the choir, was a Sunday school teacher, member of the Womans Missionary Union, and a member of Lineville Baptist Church.

Mrs. Zorn is survived by her two sons, William Jackson Zorn III of Lineville and Thomas E. Zorn (Judith) of Johns Creek; two grandchildren, James Hicks and Conner Zorn and a host of cousins and extended family.

Mrs. Zorn is preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas Hill and Girtie White Hill; her husband, William Jackson Zorn Jr, and a grandson Michael Hicks.

Active pallbearers will be the Deacons of Lineville Baptist Church.

Her visitation will take place on Tuesday July 30, 2024 from 3:00 P.M. until service time at 4:00 P.M. at Lineville Baptist Church.
