Willis Hoyt Lane – Obituary

Willis Hoyt Lane, 82, Russellville, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at his residence.

He lived his entire life in Franklin County and was a member of Tharptown Baptist Church.
He was self-employed and owner of Hoyt Lane and Son Plumbing.

The visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral service will be Friday, 11 a.m. at Tharptown Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Miller, Bro. Bobby Amos and Whitney Swinney, granddaughter officiating. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Tharptown Cemetery.

Survivors include wife, Doris Campbell Lane, Russellville; children, Sharon Warhurst (Dewayne), Russellville, Karen Andrews (Wayne), Russellville, Lisa Butler (Randy), Haleyville, Lynn Lane (Sheilah), Russellville; brothers, Herman Lane, Clifton Lane, both of Russellville; sisters, Louise Moland, June Amos, Barbara Amos, all of Russellville; grandchildren, Brandon Warhurst (fiancé, Samantha), Eric Warhurst (Tiffany), Whitney Swinney (Craig),Will Lane (Tamera), Rachel Hall (Justin), Lindsey Smith (Ryan), Chad Butler; great-grandchildren, Hazel Hall, Sylvie Smith, Bayleigh Warhurst; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Warhurst, Eric Warhurst, Will Lane, Chad Butler, Craig Swinney, Justin Hall and Ryan Smith. Honorary bearers will be Senior Men’s Sunday School Class.

He was preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Katie Lane; granddaughter, Katie Andrews; siblings, Mildred Wells, William Lane and Howard Lane.
