Funeral service for Willis Gray “Bud” Allen Jr. , age 87 , of Decatur, will be Thursday, February 11 , 2016, 1:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Harold Fanning officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday , February 11 , 2016, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the chapel. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Allen, who died Sunday , February 7 , 2016, at his residence, was born March 23, 1928, in Tennessee, to Willis Gray Allen Sr. and Bessie Riley Allen.
After Mr. Allen retired, he played with the'” Sophisticated Swingers Band and later “The Bud Allen Band” at many venues thru out the Tennessee Valley.
He is survived by, his wife Arleen Combs Allen, son Gregory Lance Allen (Sharon) of Mc Calla, Al, one brother Bob Allen (Marlene), two sisters Mary Easley and Betty Allen Jones all of Kingsport, TN.
Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
