Mr. Willis Dale Harper, age 71, of Joppa, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Harper was born on November 9, 1947 in Cullman County to J.W. Harper & Annie Estelle Wood Harper. He retired from McDonald Brother’s Construction. He enjoyed woodworking in his shop and traveling to the Smokey Mountains. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Harper was an avid church attendee, always serving the Lord and helping with the youth group.
Mr. Harper was a member of Union Hill F.C.M. Church and served as a Deacon.
Mr. Harper is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rosie F. Harper; son & daughter-in-law, Jimmy Dale Harper & Kim; daughter & son-in-law, Melanie Darlene Hostetler & Jake; grandchild, Kyndal Harper, Justin Hostetler, Jayla Harper, Daniel Hostetler; brother, Barney Harper & Kelly. Preceded in death by his parents, J.W. Harper & Annie Estelle Wood Harper; sisters, Melba Mason, Debra Nix.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Union Hill F.C.M. Church with Bro. Jon Minyard & Bro. Jeff Rowan, officiating. Burial will be in U Union Hill F.C.M. Church Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will include; Elton Haymon, Greg Still, Brian Conkle, Mark Wisener, Steve Shedd, J.T. Scott, Michael Hardin, Shannon Black.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Union Hill F.C.M. Church.
