Ray TurnerWillie Ray Turner, 80, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the Courtyards Nursing Facility. He was born January 26, 1943, in Itawamba County, to Audie and Ollie Roxie Sullivan Turner. He logged with his father in his early working years and later worked at Monroe Trousers in Smithville. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and yard work.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 16, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Joseph Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery near Mooreville.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sherry Turner; two brothers, Jimmy Turner (Diane), and Mike Turner (Wanda), both of Tremont; two sisters, Dorothy Lesley of Red Bay and Joy Faye Timms of Smithville; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Y. Turner and Billy Wayne Turner; two sisters, Clara Mae Turner and Lois Ann Turner; two brothers-in-law, Charles Lesley and J.C. Timms; and his parents.

Pallbearers will be Mike Bennett, Adam Lesley, Brian Turner, Shane Nichols, Stephen Bennett, and Jim Cody.

Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
