Willie “Nell” Tidwell, 71, of Arley passed away on September 24, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on April 9, 1942 in Corona, AL. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 6-9pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be held on Friday at 2pm. Brother Delbert Freeman will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Chalmer Tidwell; son, James (Sharon) Tidwell; daughters, Charlene (Michael) Monk, Sheila (Warren) Hendershot, Trish (Justin) McGee, and Glenda (Allan) Burruss; brothers, George (Barbara) Davis, Charles Davis, Howard (Sandy) Davis, Carroll Davis and Gary Davis; sister, Juanita (Wayne) Hammonds. She was grandma to 11 grandchildren, Stephanie Murphree, Brian Monk, Justin Monk, Kyle Hendershot, Nicolas Hendershot, Kelli Kalka, Jakob McGee, Crystal Barrientes, Chad McNeal, Heather Burruss and Neil Kelley; and 9 great grandchildren, Lane Phillips, Braxton Monk, Briley Monk, Alexis Rodriguez, Jasmine Barrientes, Ashlynn McLain, Aleah McLain, Carter Kalka and Jody McLain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dell and Dorthy Davis; mother and father in law, Earley and Marie Tidwell; brothers, John Davis, Floyd Davis, Lloyd Davis and Hubert Davis; and sister, Loudell Bailey.
