Willie Mae Griffin, 94 of Sumiton, passed away Friday, Dec. 20, 202 at her residence.
Mrs. Griffin retired from the City of Sumiton after serving 34 years as City Clerk. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Sumiton.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Griffin; parents, Leander and Dora Wallace and sister, Bebie Harris.
She is survived by her sons, Jeffery Griffin and Steve Griffin; grandchildren, Christopher Griffin (Rachel), Whitney Griffin and Jordan Haynes; great-grandson, Bronx Griffin; daughters-in-law, Vicki Reid Griffin and Christine Haynes; and several other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel on Monday, Dec. 23, 24 at 11:00 am. Dr. Stan Cooke will officiate. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 10-11 am.
