Willie Lea Sabatino, 80 of Haleyville, passed away September 3, 2023, at her residence.
She was born June 30, 1943, in Winston County, Alabama. Willie loved people, especially her family and attended New Hope Baptist Church! She liked playing bingo and loved animals, especially her grand dog Dixie.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville where a funeral service will follow at 2:00pm. Burial will follow the services at Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Tim Meher will officiate.
Willie is survived by her son, Mark J. Sabatino; granddaughter, Amanda Renae (Charles Whitten) Sabatino; boyfriend of 43 years, John Baaba; granddaughter’s mother, Ramona (Diego) Siquina; and her special granddaughter, Sarah Hubbard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Annie Bankston; husband, Frank J. Sabatino; sisters, Edith Aldridge, Oledith (Sadie) Oliver, Gertie Lou Cole, Dorothy Baxter, Dollie Ann McNeil, Carolyn (Subie) Waller, Nelda Neal, and Yvonne Bankston; brothers, Paul Bankston, Morris Bankston, and JW Bankston.
