Funeral for Willie Josephine Sandlin, 98, of Decatur will be Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Liberty United Methodist Church with Lynn Terry and Chuck Canterbury officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sandlin, who died Monday, March 2, 2015, at USA Nursing and Rehab, was born September 6, 1916, in Moulton to William Herman Wallace and Letha Hightower Wallace. She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odes Howard Sandlin; grandson, Cris Sandlin; son-in-law, Jerry Blankenship; four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Sandlin (Jean) and Wendell Sandlin (Dot); four daughters, Rosezine Blankenship (Jerry), Sherlon Crowe (Jack), Lyn Smith (Tony) and Brenda Early (WL); 16 grandchildren, 15 blended grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike, Jonathan and Brent Sandlin, Brian, Dustin and Barry Blankenship, Steve Nagy, Andy Smith, Rodney and Jason Early.
