Willie Edward Murphy , age 97 of Bear Creek, Alabama passed away July 11,2024. He served in the United States Army during WWII, was a member of the Masonic Lodge for sixty years, retired Machinist, he helped design road equipment that used in the Road Construction Industry and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Phil Campbell, AL. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Tim Griffin and Bro. Joe Spiller officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery.
Mr. Murphy is survived by his daughter, Becky Mann; sisters, Pat and Linda; brother, Don; grandchildren, Beverly Pennington, Valerie (Nathan) Hulsey and Jason (Sarah) Mann; 8 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Maude Murphy; wife, Shirley Murphy; siblings, Virginia, Mary, Bonna, Donna, Dale, Jim and Jerry; and son in law, Loyd Mann.
