Willie Clois King, age 76 of Cowan passed away on Friday December 27, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. A Native of Franklin County, Mrs. King was born in Cowan on June 7, 1943 to the late Ed and Bessie Morris Jackson. She was employed at the Winchester Hat Factory for about 15 years, Shaw Industries for 15 years, and eventually retired from Monterey Mills. Mrs. King greatly enjoyed spending time outside and working in her flower bed, watching “The Bold and The Beautiful” and American Idol, and most importantly she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a fun loving and selfless person that was always trying to help someone else. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Ed Jackson Jr., J.C. Jackson, Bobby Jackson, Billy Jackson, Tommy Jackson, Jack Jackson, Margaret Rayfield, Peggy Kelly, and Betty Gipson. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Richard Wayne King of Cowan; sons, Terry (Kathy) King of Cowan, Chad (Renee) King of Winchester; grandchildren, Kristen (Jeffery) Cope of Winchester, Ashleigh (Jeremy) West of Estill Springs, Suede (Nikki)King of Cowan; great grandchildren, Brayden Arnold, Karson Cope, Isaac West, Madilyn West; granddog , Duke King; sister, Ruthie (Oakley) Martin of Winchester; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Sunday December 29, 2019 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Monday December 30, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Gardner and Claude Hoback Officiating.
