Williard “Dempsey” Brewer – Obituary

dempseyWilliard “Dempsey” Brewer, age 90, of Hampshire, TN passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at his residence. He was a native of Lewis County, TN, a farmer, and of the Christian Faith. Mr. Brewer served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Blanton and Mandy Caroline Lee Brewer; one sister, Vernie Stokes Haley; three brothers, Lewis Brewer, Bradie Brewer, and Allen Brewer; one nephew, Van Taft Stokes; and one niece, Ruthy Waldean Kelly.

He is survived by

James Stokes (Amy), Cornersville, TN
Robert Stokes (Michelle), Ethridge, TN

One Great Niece –
Jennifer Patterson (Roger), Mt. Pleasant, TN

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 27, 2016, with Terry Chapman officiating. Interment will follow at Palestine Cemetery in Lewis County, TN with full military honors.
