William Travis Whitten, 55, of Phil Campbell, passed away on July 13, 2024 at his residence.

Travis was born on October 14, 1968 to Clarence Samuel Whitten, Jr. and Wanda Joyce Grimes in Florence, Alabama at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. He worked in quality control construction for Turner Industries and attended church at Union Hill First Congregational Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dana Cummings Whitten; daughter, Kristen Oliver (Josh); sons, Ande Whitten (Jenny), Ty Snider, Eli Snider (Sydney); sisters, Paige Cook (Blake), Amy Garner (Tommy), Lori Davis; brother, Donnie Cummings (Amanda) and five grandchildren, Noah (NoNo), Samson (Sam Sam), Kenden (KD), Avie Lee (pawpaw’s girl), and Noah Jeffrey.

Visitation will be at Akins Funeral Home, Monday, July 15, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will held at Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Union Hill Cemetery. Bro. Darryl Rambo and Bro. Wilmer Tharpe will be officiating the service.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Cummings, Josh Oliver, Ande Whitten, Isaac Cummings, Easton Cummings, and Eric Smith.

Honorary pallbearers are Noah Oliver James, Samson Oliver, Kenden Snider, and Noah Jeffery Whitten.

Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
