William “Tom” Carnes, age 90, of Huntsville, formerly of Albertville, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2024. Born on June 24, 1934, to the late Boyd and Dell Carnes, Tom lived a life marked by dedication to his family and community.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Lynn Thrash and Lesa Shaul; his grandchildren, Christopher John Thrash (Kathy) and Grayson Archer Shaul; and his great-grandchildren, Noah Jeffrey Thrash, Leah Jennifer Thrash, Olivia Lynn Thrash, Florence King Thrash, and Camille King Thrash. Tom was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gail M. Carnes, and his grandson, Brandon Thomas Thrash.
Tom’s life will be celebrated at a funeral service held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation beginning at 1:00 pm, prior to the service. Pallbearers assisting Mr. Carnes to his final resting place at Marshall Memorial Gardens will include Grayson Shaul, Ric Camp, Mike Carnes, Duke Spain, Ross Pinney, and Josh Terrell.
