William Thomas "Tom" King, Jr.William Thomas “Tom” King, Jr., age 58, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024.

 

Tom was born on March 18, 1965, in Williamson County, Tennessee, and was the son of the late William Thomas King, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Hazelwood King. He dedicated his career in the grocery store industry since the age of sixteen, working for Bi-Lo and Food Lion. Tom found joy in fishing and held a passionate enthusiasm for sports, particularly football, basketball, and baseball. His interests extended to collecting Hot Wheels, and he was an avid fan of Dale Earnhardt and the University of Alabama.

 

He is survived by his only son, Caleb King, the mother of his child, Jamie King, Caleb’s grandmother, Cindy Lou Carpenter, and several aunts and uncles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Melissa King White, and father in law, Kevin Paul Carpenter.

 

At this time, there will be no public service. The family plans to commemorate Tom’s life through a private celebration of life at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
