William Randall “Randy” The Dougherty, age 72 of Adamsville passed into the presence of the Lord on March 11, 2025. He was born on June 30, 1952 in Birmingham, AL. In 1991, Randy married his
beautiful wife, Janet Dougherty. He was a Law Enforcement Officer/Security for over 40 years.
He was a retired Sargent from the City of Adamsville Police Department.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Joseph Dougherty, mother, Doris Dougherty,
and Grandson, Connor Lamb.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Janet Dougherty, his
children, Joseph (Felisha) Dougherty, Alvin (Misty) Davis, and Kristi (Donald) Lanning, his
grandchildren, Allison Davis (Randy Harris), Brittany Davis, William Dougherty, and Peyton
Lamb, his great grandchild, Hadlee Davis, his brother, Walter “Bubba” Dougherty, his sisters,
Sheila (Alton) England and Cindy (Terry) Duke and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday March 14, 25!at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Adamsville, AL. Visitation is Friday from 12-2 pm in the chapel.
