Mr. William R. “Bob” Grissett, 81, passed away on October 13 2015 , at home after a long illness.
Visitation and a Memorial Service will be at Greenview Memorial Chapel on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. The memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m.
He is survived by Shirley, his wife of 60 years; three dear sons: Kerry, Chris (Elisa) and Lans (Jamie); and five wonderful grandchildren; Stephen, Taylor, Nathan, Sydney, and Haley; two sisters, Barbara Finley, and Betty Ellingson (Loren).
He was preceded in death by his son, R. Scott Grissett; his parents, Bill and Mae Grissett and sisters, Norma and Doris.
Bob earned his BS, MA, Ed.S degrees from UNA while working many hours in construction. He taught math at Appleby and Hibbett where he was also a guidance counselor. He finished his professional years at Coffee High as assistant principal and principal.
Bob was a very special person who was thoughtful, caring, hardworking, and always dependable beyond all requirements. He will be missed.
