Mr. William Nelson “Sonny” Stewart, age 82, of Florence Alabama, passed away on Saturday, January 7th, 2023.
Mr. William “Sonny” Stewart was born on October 20th, 1940 to Fern Hall and Jesse James Stewart in Bridgeport Alabama. After a long career with TVA, Sonny and his wife Linda retired in Florence Alabama and spent many years traveling, gardening and enjoying time with their grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Brewer Stewart; his daughter Cindy Stewart Linam; granddaughter Haley Linam; grandson Jesse Linam; and a niece, nephew and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother Fern Hall Stewart; and father Jesse James Stewart; sister and brother-in-law Eva Ruth and Bill Matthews; and nephew James Edward Matthews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023 at Rudder Funeral Home of Stevenson Alabama, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.
Funeral Services will be held Graveside on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023 beginning at 1:00 pm at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens of Jasper Tennessee.
