William Morris Vickers 76, of Toney,AL died Wednesday, January 03, 2018 at Limestone Health Facility, Athens, Alabama.
He was born Tuesday, December 30, 1941 in Limestone Co., AL, He was the son of Johnie S Vickers and Mary Evelyn Vickers. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill Vickers.
He is survived by his daughter – Tina (Laurence) Bailey, Florence, MS, sisters – Patsy (Dale) Lewter, Elkmont, AL, and Nancy (Berry) Cook Elkmont, AL, granddaughters – Sabrina (D.J.) McGinty and Katrina (Bob Mobley) Shrader, and 3 great-grandchildren-Shyanne Hickson, Kambria Howell, and Kamden Mobley.
Mr.Vickers was a member of American Quarter Horse Association and a horse trainer for many years. He also was retired from Monsanto.
Public/Visitation will be held on Friday, January 05, 2018 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
A Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 06, 2018 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home at 3:00 PM with Bro. Doug Colwell officiating. Burial will be in Sylone Cemetery, Elkmont, AL.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to American Cancer Society, Hospice of Limestone County or Parkinson’s Disease Foundation .
