William Marvin “Bill” Brown – Obituary

William Marvin “Bill” Brown, 70 of Florence passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018. Visitation will be Friday, June 1 from 12:00 to 2:00 at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The Funeral service will be at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bobby Crosswhite and Rev. Greg Daniel officiating. Burial will follow at Central Heights Community Cemetery

Bill was a native of Florence. He worked in construction for many years. He attended The Pentecostals of Florence and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was also a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Truman and Helen Brown; sons, William Marvin Jr. and Charlie Wayne Brown; and brother, Larry Brown.

Bill is survived by son, Dennis Heath Brown (Jessica) of Florence; brothers, Gerald Brown (Helen) of Snellville, GA, David Brown (Dot) Cleveland, GA and Tommy Brown (Joan) Decatur; sister, Nancy Meek (Charlie) Cedar City, UT and four grandchildren, Holly, Christopher, Ryley and Kenslie.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Brown, Donny Young, Kim Young, Eddie Meek, Truman Sutton, and Charles Haddock.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Sivley, Jack Robertson.
