Mr. William Marion “Abbie” Abercrombie, of Brown Street, Boaz, Alabama, died Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Marshall Medical Center South.
Service will be Tuesday, March 24, 2015; Two o’clock p.m. at McRae Chapel with Jerri Manasco and Thomas Wortham officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Monday from 5 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Abercrombie was born in Alabama on September 17, 1929 to William & Matilda Stephens Abercrombie. He was the owner of Abbie’s Auto Parts.
Mr. Abercrombie is survived by his Wife: Frances Beck Abercrombie of Boaz, Son & Daughter-in-Law: Joe & Sherry Abercrombie of Boaz, Daughter: Becky Abercrombie Shepard of Georgia, Grandchildren: Jonathon Wilson, Katie Wilson, Houston Shepard, Sam Shepard, Wyatt Shepard and J. P. Abercrombie, Sister: Betty Claburn of Birmingham.
Pallbearers will be J.P. Abercrombie, Jonathon Wilson, Houston Shepard, Sam Shepard, Wyatt Shepard and Randy Harvell. Honorary Pallbearer will be Elders of Crestview Church of Christ, Ricky Ray and George Barnett.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to The Foundation for Marshall Medical Centers, P.O. Box 855, Guntersville, AL 35976.
