William Levan King, 87, of Tuscumbia, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012. His visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel with burial at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Bro. Gene Franks and Bro. Truman Kimbrough will officiate.

Mr. King was a native of Franklin County, Alabama, a veteran of WWII where he served in the U.S. Army, and a member of Isbell Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired from Martin Industries where he was known to his friends as “Pappy”.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years Velma Dalrymple King.

Survivors include his sons, Jimmy R. King and wife Jane and Steve King and wife Jill; daughter, Regina King Blackburn and husband Dennis; brother, Hollis King and wife Dean; grandchildren, Bryan King, Monica Blackburn, and Morgan King; great-grandchildren, Brandon King, Bradley King, Collin King, and Emilie King; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
