Funeral services for Mr. William Leslie Newton, age 87, will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 2, 2023 in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in Hartsfield Cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday at 10 AM until service time.
Mr. Newton, a US Army and Air Force veteran serving in both Korea and Vietnam Wars, member of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Milan and member of the NRA, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023 in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mora Jameson.
Mr. Newton is survived by his wife, Sarah Newton of Humboldt; and a son, Butch Newton of Oak Ridge, TN.
