William J. Jordan, Jr., 90, of Lacey’s Springs passed away Friday. Bill was born in Coffee Springs, AL to William and Mattie Jordan. He served his country in the U.S. Army. His jobs took him many places before returning home to work in electronics at Ft. Rucker where he spent the next 30 years. After retirement, he moved to Huntsville to work on a NASA contract at Datatape.
Bill was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church where he enjoyed volunteer and missions work. He never met a stranger and was deeply loved by his family for his kind heart and giving nature.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen Jordan and son, Keith Jordan. Bill is survived by wife, Gail Jordan; daughter, Cindi Partin (Milt) of Headland, AL; daughter-in-law, Cyndi Jordan of Mobile, AL; step-sons, Gary Wayne Stipes and Michael Lance Stipes; granddaughters, Ami Jordan, Ashley Partin, Molly Partin, Melissa Stump and Crystal Stipes; great granddaughter, Shelbie Kilgo; brothers, Don Jordan of Chancellor, AL and Bob Jordan (June) of Milton, FL; sister, Marjorie Charles (Eugene) of Coffee Springs.
A visitation will be held Sunday, June 14, 2020 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will be Monday, June 15, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Meadowlawn Memorial Park in Enterprise, AL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Whitesburg Baptist Church.
