William Ives, age 67, of Sulligent, Alabama, passed away Thursday, August 13th, 2015, at his residence.
Visitation, 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15th, 2015, Otts Funeral Home Chapel, in Sulligent, Alabama. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 16th, 2015, at the funeral home chapel. Bro. Billy Joe Ives and Bro. James Godsey officiating. Burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, (Shake Rag Road), Lamar County, Alabama.
William was born January 16th, 1948, in Vernon, Alabama, to the late William Junior and Evie Humbers Ives. He was a Veteran, serving in both the U.S. Army and Alabama Army National Guard. William attended Bedford School. He was self-employed as a logger and he enjoyed fishing and camping. William was a member of Revelation Holiness.
He is survived by his wife, Ruthie Ives, Sulligent, AL.; 1 son, Robbie (Michelle) Ives, Sulligent, AL.; 2 daughters, Jody Ives, Sulligent, AL., and Tina (David) Merchant, Detroit, AL.; grandchildren: Jeremy (Amy) Wilson, Tammy Golden, Nikki Wilson, Heather Wilson, Josh Boshell, Tacy (Shane) Grant, Zach Merchant, Jimmy Ives, and Emily Ives; great-grandchildren, William Collins, Kaliegh Collins, Grace Biggerstaff, Jaxson Golden, Tyler Boshell, Rylee Boshell, and Loden Grant; 1 brother, Eddie (Donna) Ives, Sulligent, AL.; 1 sister, Joyce (Brooks) Hollis, Sulligent, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Junior and Evie Humbers Ives; 1 brother, Truman Ives; and 1 sister, Shirley Ives.
