William Hoyt Bishop Jr., (Bill) 70, of Gadsden Al.
passed away with his loved ones surrounding him on Jan 1st, 2025. Born August 14th, 1954 Bill was a man of deep faith, and unwavering kindness. Bill faithfully served as a Baptist preacher under Johnny Taylor at Gallant Road Baptist Church. A moment he always cherished deeply was baptizing his beloved mother.
Beyond his pastoral work, Bill was a proud Shriner with Gadsden Classic Car Unit to help with the crippled and burned for Children’s Hospital.
Bill found joy in fishing, camping, and taking boat rides with his family making precious memories on the water. His favorite place in the world was Gatlinburg, Tennessee where he loved to take trips with his family. Honoring his final wishes, his ashes will be spread in Gatlinburg Tennessee, a place that brought him so much joy and happiness.
Bill is survived by his Wife- Michelle Bishop/ Daughter -Dawn Howell (David Howell)
Daughter- Kristy Batista (Ricky Batista) Grandson -Wesley Porter (Taylor Porter) Grandson- Will Batista/ Grandson- Tylor Porter/Granddaughter -Katie Andrews (Chris) Grandson- Logan Andrews (Courtney) Grandson-Nic Batista (Haley) Grandson-Jordan Howell and 11 Great Grandkids.
Proceeded in Death by his Father- William Hoyt Bishop Sr./ Mother- Alice Irene Bishop Hyde
Son- Billy and Daughter- Kimberly and all his brothers and sisters.
