William Houston ‘Doug’ Taylor – Obituary

Funeral services for William Houston ‘Doug’ Taylor, 77 of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 26th, 2013 at Good Hope Baptist Church, Dr. Ralph Andrews and Rev. Howard Wolfe, Jr. officiating with interment in Shelton Grove Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 1-2 p.m.

Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Taylor passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at his residence. He was born May 29th, 1935 to parents, Houston and Ruby Palmer Taylor. He was a member of Ironworkers Local 92 for 59 years and a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. Doug loved to build homes and loved to fish. He was a devoted granddad.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Annette Taylor; two sons, Billy (Pamela) Taylor, Stephen (Jessica) Taylor; Daughter, Freda (Reggie) Clarke; grandchildren, Kara (Clay) McAnnally, Ryan Taylor, Ethan Taylor, Emily Taylor, Lauren Taylor, Elijah Taylor; a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday evening at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m.
