Funeral service for Robert William Hogue, age 89, of Decatur, will be Thursday, January 23, 2014, 12:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Jackie Kay officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Hogue, who died Saturday, January 18, 2014, at his son’s residence, was born August 25, 1924, in Walker County, GA, to William P. Hogue and Edith Roberson Hogue. He owned and operated Chandler’s Fabric. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Hogue, one daughter, Anita Hogue, and one grandson, Michael Hogue.
He is survived by one son, Dewey Hogue (Sandy) of Moulton; one daughter, Brenda Hogue McNatt (Gary) of Hartselle; one brother, Jim Hogue of Lafayette, GA; six grandchildren, Chris Price (Mandy), Rhett McNatt (Jackie), Allison Good (Eric), Andrea Davis (Brian), Lisa Hogue Newberry (Darren), Kelli Hogue Wright (Paul); and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Paul Wright, Walter Price, Darren Newberry, Rhett McNatt, Chris Price, and Eric Good.
