Funeral service for William Henry Powell, Jr., 79, will be Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM at United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Shane Britt officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in state at the Church for 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Powell died on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born October 20, 1935, in Tennessee to William Henry Powell, Sr. and Mary Elowese Hickman Powell. He was formerly employed by Russell Forest Products as a production worker. He was preceded in death by his wife: Iva Nadine Powell and his parents.
