Public visitation for Mr. William Henry Johnson, age 81 will be held from 6 PM until 8 PM on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel. Private family services will be held on Thursday. All services will follow the appropriate social distancing protocols, with face masks required, as set forth by the CDC and state of Tennessee.
Mr. Johnson, a retired factory worker, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maudie Johnson.
Mr. Johnson is survived by two daughters, Larine Collins and Katherine Wardlow both of Humboldt; two sons, Larry Johnson, Sr. and Prentice Johnson, Sr. both of Humboldt; three sisters, Lena Sorrell, Ora Lewis and Aretha Johnson all of Humboldt; three brothers, Wilbert Johnson, Jr. of Trenton, Alphonso Johnson and Dennis Johnson both of Humboldt; twenty three grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
