William Harold PendergrassWilliam Harold Pendergrass, 74, of Rainbow City passed away peacefully at his home on Friday June 14th, 2024. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and brother. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

William is survived by his beloved wife Celia Weathersby Pendergrass, also his children Lora Michele (Scott) Pendergrass Stanfield, and Joshua Brian Pendergrass. Also left to cherish his memory are his siblings Lou Ellen Pendergrass Hasseltine, and John (Michelle) Bennett Pendergrass. His three grandchildren, Joshua Scott Stanfield, Adam Jacob Stanfield, and Corrigan Lane Murray; and his three great-grandchildren, Graclyn Moore, Channing Scott Stanfield, and Leopold Jose Delgado-Murray.

He is preceded in death by his parents Orell Benjamen Pendergrass and Gladys Lucille Pendergrass.

William was a native of Magnolia, Mississippi. He served in the United States Navy from 1969-1975. After his discharge he moved to Louisiana to work for Entergy a position he maintained for over 30 years. He was an active member of his church where he served many religious missions. He moved to Gadsden, Alabama to be closer to his children and family; where he became active on many boards in Gadsden and Rainbow City.
