William Grady Pharr, 80, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Vina, AL to William B. and Lurie Moss Pharr. He worked as a farmer and a mechanic and was a member of Hodges Convention Baptist Church.
Services will be Sunday, April 21, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Casey Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Old Line Cemetery, Hodges, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by three daughters, Lisa Pope, Cindy Mitchell (Chris) and Amanda Miller (J.R.); grandchildren, Jason Pope (Sam), Paige Ricketts, DJ Emerson (Jill) and Tyler Emerson (Courtney); great-grandchildren, Braylynn and Hunter Pope, Kingston and Bankston Ricketts, Kynnedi Pope, Marleigh and John Knox Emerson and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Feltman Pharr; four sisters, Violet Stidham, Mildred McKinney, Joyce McCarley and Ruby Tyra and six brothers, Dillard Pharr, Hubert Pharr, Buddy Pharr, Tommy Pharr, Nello Pharr and W.B. Pharr.
Pallbearers will be Jason Pope, J.R. Miller, DJ Emerson, Tyler Emerson, Chris Mitchell, Barry Pope and Lance Pharr. Honorary pallbearers will be Kingston Ricketts, Hunter Pope, Bankston Ricketts and Craig Holland.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 21, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
