William Glenn Johnson, age 83, a resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024, at his residence.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Dan Butler officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on August 9 1941, in Williamson County, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Cecil and Mary Elizabeth Johnson. William loved his family, especially all of his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He enjoyed singing with the Singing Volunteers at several nursing homes. He enjoyed collecting knives and hats. William and his beloved wife, Jackie, enjoyed thirty-eight years of marriage together.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jeffrey Ray Johnson, daughters, Carolyn (James) Bozeman, Patricia (Robby) Easley, Michelle (Travis) Glenn, sisters, Louise Hammon, and Janie Lovern, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Dwayne Carter Sr., brothers, James Johnson, Roy Johnson, and Horace Johnson, sisters, Darnell Crumley, Georgie Johnson, Irene Eastep, and Betty Fairweather.
