William George King, 89 of Athens, Alabama, passed away on September 25th, 2023, in Athens Limestone Hospital. He was born on January 10th, 1934, to parents Hagen King and Leear Foster King.
Mr. King is survived by his wife, Betty Goodin King; 2 sons Ronald Glen King(Dawn) and Ritchie King(Bette); 1 daughter Janet King Tankersley, 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; his brother Wayne King; several nieces and nephews; long life friend Kenneth Clark; and former daughter-in-law Gena Clemmons.
William is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters Martha Pirtle & Ruby Hall; and 2 brothers Lonnie (Bud) King & Thomas King.
Funeral services for Mr. King will be held at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home on Friday, September 29th, 2023, at 3pm with Rick Cantrell and Jeremy Posey officiating. Visitation will be at 1pm-2:45pm. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
