Funeral Service for William Fred Abel, age 80, of Cullman, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home; interment in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mr. Abel passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at his residence. He was born December 27, 1942, to Hugh McHenry Abel and Velma Abel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carl Abel, Lynn “Buddy” H. Abel, and Jimmy Abel; sister, Jean (John) Powell; and brother-in-law, Bruce Randolph.
Survivors include his wife, Lura Abel; brother, Howard (Violet) Abel; sisters, Laura Randolph and Martha (Dan) Jones; sister-in-law, Marlene Abel; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family, and friends.
