William Frank Kilzer – Obituary

WilliamWilliam Frank Kilzer, age 75 passed away October 8, 2013 at his home.

He was born and raised in Chester County, the Wilson School Community, the son of the late Frank James and Lexie Mae Davis Kilzer. He attended Chester County Schools and entered the U.S. Army and worked in the missle silos in the early 60’s. He married Kathleen Matthews in 1961. He worked at International Paper for 34 years, retiring in 2010. He was a member of the Pleasant Springs Methodist Church.

He loved deer hunting and playing golf. He had a hole in one at Jones Creek Golf Course in Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Matthews Kilzer of Henderson; two sons, Andy Kilzer and wife Mary of Henderson and Ben Kilzer and wife Kayce of Henderson; four daughters, Elaine Patterson and husband Rube of Henderson, Deborah Thomas and husband Darryl of Henderson, Linda Granger and husband Joe of Henderson and Brenda Richardson and husband Patrick of Lexington; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; a brother, Tommy Lee Kilzer of Selmer and an sister, Mary Lou Parker of Henderson.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Mike Shaeffer officiating and burial will follow in Pleasant Springs Cemetery.
