William Eugene “Dean” Franks, 72, of Cherokee died Saturday, November 8, 2014. Visitation will be Monday, November 10, 2014, from 2 – 3p.m. at Cherokee Pentecostal Church. The funeral service will follow, at 3p.m, with Bro. Fay Crowe and Bro. Corey Cochran officiating. Interment will be at Margerum Cemetery.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie and Gus Franks; son, William Dale Franks and two brothers.
He is survived by loving wife of 48 years, Barbara Franks; son, Tracy Franks (Charlotte); daughters, Melissa Stowe (Jeff), Teresa Carmack (Gary Thompson) and Pamela Holt; six sisters, seven grandchildren and one great – grandchild.
