Earl Grubbs William Earl Grubbs, 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at NMMC-Tupelo, MS. A dedicated MTD employee for 53 years, he found joy in attending trade days and swap meets, repairing lawn mowers, cattle farming, gardening, and spending time on his front porch. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Swords (Tim) of New Albany, and his son, Phil Grubbs (Christy) of Ecru, his grandchildren, Emily Wade (Keith), Vanessa Hermanson (Benny), Haley Bryan (Ben), Joey Moody, Daniel Moody, and Natalie Shadburn (Eli), and his great-grandchildren, Malichi Shadburn, Jake Moody, Ariana Hermanson, Ayden Hermanson, Laura Lynn Moody, Corey Wade (Lucy), Gibson Shadburn, and the expected baby boy Shadburn in March 2025, his sister, Mary Kelly, brothers, Willis Carlton Grubbs (Doris) and LeLand Grubbs, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his beloved wife, Rubie Jean Dillard Grubbs, his son, Timothy Earl Grubbs, his parents, William Zack and Opal Ford Grubbs, his sister, Arvalie Grubbs, his brother, Jerry Lynn Grubbs, and his daughter-in-law, Jenie Daine Long Grubbs.

Services are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, October 18, 2024, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc, with Bro. David Barnett officiating. Visitation times are Thursday, October 17th from 5-8 PM and Friday, October 18th from 12 PM until the service begins. Interment will follow at Cherry Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Keith Wade, Eli Shadburn, Malichi Shadburn, Ben Bryan, Joey Moody, Jake Moody, and Johnny Raby, with Benny Hermanson, Ayden Hermanson, Gibson Shadburn, Corey Wade, Daniel Moody, and the expected Shadburn serving as honorary pallbearers.
