William E. (Bill) Beavers departed this life on May 16, 2015 in Selmer, TN at the age of 60 Years, 10 Months, 21 Days. He was born June 25, 1954 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late William McKinley and Earnestine Williams Beavers.
He was united in marriage to Brenda Kay Nixon on June 2, 1973. Mrs. Beavers preceded him in death on October 26, 2012.
Mr. Beavers was retired from Save-A-Lot Grocery Store in Selmer where he was a Butcher and former Store Manager. He previously had worked at the Selmer Big Star. He was an ordained Baptist Minister and a member of Eastview Baptist Church. Bill dearly loved his family and friends and never met an enemy. He enjoyed the holiday family get togethers at his mother-in-laws house, vacationing in the Great Smokey Mountains, and watching baseball on TV. He adored his cat “Baby Girl”.
Bill is survived by a niece and nephew, Tonya Jent and Bryant Jent, that he and Brenda raised. He also is survived by his siblings, Cecil Beavers, Charles Mullins, Tina Mullins; half sisters, Reda Halfacre, Lucy DeShazier, Mary Beavers, Cindy Blanton; his mother-in-law, Verble Nixon and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Beavers was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Beavers Arnold; half-sister, Pat Beavers; half-brother, James Bobby Beavers.
