A Celebration of Life will be held for William Doyce Griffith on Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 3:30 – 5:30 P.M. at Webster’s Chapel Community Center. A private burial service will be held by family.
Doyce passed away Friday, August 9, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at home. He loved praising his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Doyce was a humble and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and was kind to all he met. He worked at Tractor and Equipment Company for 30 years and Jacksonville State University for 12 years. Doyce served in the Alabama National Guard for 19 years.
Doyce is survived by his wife, Gail Walker Griffith; Son, Robert Loyce Griffith (Lori), Daughter, Paula Griffith Smith; Grandchildren, Megan Griffith and Auburn Smith; Great grandchild, Oaklynn Saige Martin; Brother, Doug Griffith (Selena); many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his parents: Grover and Ether Griffith; Brother, Donald Griffith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of William Doyce Griffith to the American Cancer Society Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodge – Decatur GA.
