William Douglas "Doug" Adams  William Douglas “Doug” Adams, 80 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, January 8th, 2023, at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Adams was born on August 18th, 1942, in Limestone County, to Alvis and Clora Burrough Adams.

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kay Adams; children Greg Adams (Lori) and Kim Smith (David); grandchildren Blake Adams (Maria), Kaylin Adams, Jacob Smith, and Kara Underwood (Devin); brother Bill Adams; and nephew Richard Green (Lisa).

He is preceded in death by his parents Alvis and Clora Adams; sister Linda Adams; and nephew Dewayne Eubanks.

Funeral services for Mr. Adams will be Wednesday, January 11th, 2023, at 11:00am at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Jeff Henderson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30-10:45am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Dement Cemetery.

Mr. Adams was a 1960 graduate of Clements High School, and a member of the Athens Masonic Lodge 16. He was a certified multi-craft mechanic. He was crafted in many skills and enjoyed tackling a variety of projects.
