  Dariel Crafton Profile PhotoWilliam Dariel Crafton, 85, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ in the early evening on September 9, 2024 at his home. Born on February 5, 1939, he was a son to Willie Crafton and Gladys Busby Crafton Neubauer. He was a farmer most of his life and upon moving to Mississippi, he and his wife got in the convenient store business employing many over the years. The Texaco in Lackey was his favorite. Being a merchant was in his blood and he enjoyed his faithful customers. He enjoyed attending his granddaughter Shelby’s basketball games and he was an avid fan of Delta State Women’s Basketball. His hobbies included watching a good western on TV, Fox News, and going to the movies. He was a member of Gregory Chapel Baptist Church.

 Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Bro. Clinton Worthy officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Neely Crafton; two sons, Michael Steel, Amory and Chris Crafton (Shannon), Germantown, TN; one daughter, Elisha Baggett (J.J.), Vardaman; grandchildren, Jeremy Hickerson, Shelby Baggett, Cory and Brandon Baggett, Morgan Crafton, Connor and Ethan Crafton, and Lane Carroll; great grandchildren, Weston Baggett, Danny Beth Baggett, and Kimber Baggett.

Preceding him in death are his parents; and step sister, Izola Crawford.

Visitation will be on Friday from noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
